It comprises of two southern approach spans of timber, three wrought iron truss spans of 31.4 metres that carry the road across the river, and twenty-three northern approach timber spans of 9.14 metres rising on a gradient of 1 in 30 from the level of the floodplain. Gundagai is also famous for its historical mines. The Prince of Wales Mine and the Long Tunnel Mine (Robinson and Rice’s Mine) that lies to south west of Gundagai by a few miles
